Senegal centre-back Abdoulaye Seck has joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Faisaly on a free transfer from Maccabi Haifa.
The 34-year-old moves to Saudi Arabia after four seasons with the Israeli champions, where he established himself as a key figure in defence and collected several domestic honours. The transfer was completed on 22 July, with Seck leaving at the end of his contract in Haifa.
Standing at 1.92m and predominantly right-footed, Seck arrives in Saudi Arabia with extensive experience in European and international competition. He was part of the Senegal squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022 and featured at the 2026 World Cup, providing an assist in his brief appearance at the tournament.
Seck originally joined Maccabi Haifa from Belgian side Royal Antwerp in 2022 for €390,000 and went on to win the Israeli league title in 2022-23, as well as the Israel Super Cup in 2023-24. His performances in Israel brought individual recognition, including being named Defender of the Year and Best Foreign Player in 2023.
Before his time in Israel, Seck spent four years with Antwerp after signing from Norwegian club Sandefjord in 2018. Across his spells in Belgium, Norway and Israel, he has amassed over 300 senior appearances in league, cup and European competition, scoring regularly from set pieces.
Al-Faisaly have added Seck with a current market value of €400,000, strengthening their defensive options with a player who has experience in the Champions League, Europa League and CAF competitions.
