Cameroon centre-forward Aaron Bibout of Genk is being linked with a summer move to Serie A side Lazio as the Italian club explore options to reinforce their attack.
Bibout, 21, has a long-term deal in Belgium running until 30 June 2029, meaning Genk are in a strong position in any negotiations. The forward is currently valued at around €3.5 million, a figure that would represent a relatively modest outlay for Lazio should they decide to turn their interest into a formal bid.
The 1.93m striker joined Genk from Swedish side Vasteras SK in July 2025 for a reported €2.2m fee and has worked his way into the first-team picture in the Jupiler Pro League and Europe. He has already featured in both domestic league fixtures and the Europa League for the Belgian club, gaining exposure to continental competition that is thought to appeal to Lazio’s recruitment staff.
Bibout has shown a consistent scoring record in his recent club career, including 10 goals in 16 matches in the Belgian Challenger Pro League, and has also appeared in the Jupiler Pro League and its European play-offs as well as the Europa League. Born in Yaounde on 9 September 2004, he has built his reputation across several leagues since leaving Kadji SA for LA Galaxy’s second team in 2023 before moving on to the European game.
For now, Bibout remains under contract at Genk, where his performances and lengthy deal make him a potentially costly but controllable asset for the Belgian side as speculation around Lazio’s interest continues.
