Cameroon forward Aaron Bibout is being linked with a move from Genk to Lille, with the French club reportedly considering a transfer for the 21-year-old.
Bibout has made four appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season, scoring twice in 89 minutes. He has not started a match, but his goals have accounted for 17% of Genk’s league goal participation during the campaign.
The centre-forward joined Genk from Swedish club Vasteras SK in July 2025 in a deal worth €2.2m. He had previously been contracted to LA Galaxy and spent time on loan with Tulsa and Detroit City, but his move to Belgium represented his first transfer to a European top-flight club.
Lille’s interest would represent a potential move to Ligue 1 for Bibout, who was born in Yaounde and represents Cameroon. There is no indication that an agreement has been reached between the clubs, and the rumour remains at the reported-interest stage.
Bibout’s current market value is listed at €3.5m, while his contract with Genk runs until 30 June 2029. Genk therefore retain the forward under a long-term deal as Lille’s reported interest develops.
