Russian-Cameroonian centre-forward Marat Tarek is being linked with a move from Samaleswari SC to Bengaluru U. in the Indian Football League.
Tarek, 23, joined Samaleswari SC on 18 July 2026 after leaving Kolkheti Poti, having made that move as a free agent earlier in the month from PWD SC. He has already made three appearances in the Durand Cup this season, scoring twice.
The 1.94m striker has spent the early part of his career moving between clubs in Russia, India, Mongolia, the Middle East and Europe. His previous Indian clubs include PWD SC, Real Kashmir and FC Ulaanbaatar, while his senior club career began with FC Sochi II before a spell at Dinamo Vladivostok.
Tarek’s latest transfer link comes shortly after his arrival at Samaleswari SC, where he has started 67% of the club’s possible games and played 73% of the available minutes in the Durand Cup. He has contributed 29% of the team’s goal involvement during that run.
A move to Bengaluru U. would keep Tarek in the Indian Football League, but the rumour remains unconfirmed. He is currently registered with Samaleswari SC.
