Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad have reportedly submitted a €25 million offer to Real Madrid for Moroccan international Brahim Díaz ahead of the January transfer window, potentially complicating Juventus’ pursuit of the attacker.
According to reports citing journalist Ekrem Konur, the Saudi side are looking to capitalise on Díaz’s limited playing time at the Spanish giants as they seek to strengthen their attack.
The proposed move would give Real Madrid a decision to make over the future of the 27-year-old, whose contract runs until June 2027.
However, the reported offer has not been confirmed by either club, and no agreement has been announced.
Al Ittihad make reported €25m approach
Al Ittihad are said to have tabled the €25 million proposal as they assess the possibility of bringing Díaz to Saudi Arabia in January.
The Moroccan has faced competition for regular minutes at Real Madrid, prompting speculation over whether he could seek a move that would offer him a more prominent role.
A bid of that size could give Madrid an opportunity to consider a sale before the final months of his current contract, although the club’s position on the reported offer remains unclear.
Díaz’s future may also depend on whether Madrid intend to extend his deal and what role the forward expects to play in the team.
Juventus face competition
Juventus have previously been linked with Díaz as they consider ways to strengthen their attacking options.
The Moroccan’s experience in Italian football could make a return to Serie A an attractive option. He spent three seasons on loan at AC Milan between 2020 and 2023, developing into an important attacking player before returning to Madrid.
However, Al Ittihad’s reported financial offer could complicate Juventus’ efforts if the Saudi club move forward with a formal proposal and Madrid are willing to negotiate.
There is no confirmed agreement between Díaz and either interested club, leaving his future uncertain as the January window approaches.
For now, the reported €25 million bid places Al Ittihad among the clubs monitoring the Moroccan’s situation, while Juventus’ interest keeps a possible return to Italy in the conversation.
