Morocco reach fourth successive CAN futsal final after 6-0 win over Egypt

Morocco moved into the final of the CAN de futsal 2026 with a commanding 6-0 victory over Egypt in Rabat.

The result at the Palais des Sports Prince Moulay Abdellah on Monday kept the hosts on course for an unprecedented fourth consecutive title. Morocco, who are hosting the tournament for a third successive time, have now won all four of their matches without conceding a goal.

They also became only the second nation in the competition’s history to reach four finals in a row. Egypt remain the record holders, having appeared in six successive finals from the inaugural edition in 1996 through to 2020.

Morocco took control of the semi-final early on when Soufian Charraoui opened the scoring in the ninth minute. His volley was helped by an error from the Egypt goalkeeper.

Ismail Amazal doubled the lead a minute later after finishing a well-worked team move. He then added his second in the 15th minute, taking advantage of an uncertain attempt by the opposing goalkeeper to come off his line.

Morocco continued to dominate after the interval. Bilal Bakkali made it 4-0 in the 22nd minute with a powerful shot into the top corner, before Charraoui completed his hat-trick with goals in the 31st and 38th minutes.

The victory means Morocco have scored 22 goals across their four matches at the tournament, while their defence has yet to be breached.

They will face Angola in Wednesday’s final after Angola eliminated Algeria with a 3-2 victory earlier on Monday evening. A win would make Morocco the first team to claim four consecutive CAN de futsal titles.

Morocco could also achieve another landmark if they preserve their clean sheet in the final. No team has previously completed the competition without conceding a goal.
