Anguissa returns as Napoli name 22-man squad for Venezia

Napoli have received a boost ahead of Saturday’s Serie A trip to Venezia, with Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Alisson Santos both included in Massimiliano Allegri’s 22-man travelling squad.

Anguissa has missed Napoli’s past two matches because of an adductor problem, while Alisson has been sidelined since mid-September with a hamstring injury. Their returns provide Allegri with additional options as his side attempt to recover from a difficult run of results.

Napoli’s latest setback came in the Champions League, where they were beaten 3-1 away by Villarreal earlier this week. It was their second defeat in as many matches in the competition.

Allegri has now suffered four defeats in his first eight matches as Napoli head coach. That is more losses than any other Napoli manager has recorded at the start of a new season for 17 years.

Venezia, who are 20th in Serie A and have failed to take a point from their opening six matches of the 2026-27 campaign, represent Napoli’s next opportunity to improve their form.

Allegri can also select Giovane, who was not involved against Villarreal because he is not included on Napoli’s UEFA squad list.
