Rennes ease past Auxerre 4-1 in Ligue 1

Rennes secured a 4-1 victory over Auxerre on Sunday, 11 October, in the sixth round of the 2026/27 French championship.

The hosts took the lead after 15 minutes when Esteban Lepaul found the net. Their advantage lasted only 10 minutes, with Cameron Archer restoring parity for Auxerre in the 25th minute.

Both sides continued to compete for control, but Rennes regained the lead nine minutes after half-time. Adrien Thomasson scored in the 54th minute to put the home side back in front.

Rennes then pulled clear in the closing stages as Boulaye Dia scored twice to complete a brace and secure a 4-1 win.
