Nice fight back to beat Strasbourg and claim sixth-round victory

Nice came from behind to beat Strasbourg 2-1 at home in the sixth round of the French championship.

The visitors took the lead shortly before half-time when Dario Essugo scored in the 41st minute, leaving Nice facing a difficult position going into the interval.

However, the hosts restored parity in first-half stoppage time. Pape Diop put the ball into his own net in the 45+2nd minute, allowing Nice to level before the break.

The two sides continued to compete for control after half-time, but neither could find a decisive breakthrough for much of the second half. With the score still level, the match appeared to be heading towards a draw.

Nice eventually secured all three points in the 81st minute, when Jonathan Clauss scored the winning goal.
