Inter Milan are closely monitoring the situation of Cameroon midfielder Frank Zambo Anguissa as uncertainty grows over his future at Napoli.
Anguissa’s contract with the Italian champions is due to expire in 2027, and negotiations over an extension have reportedly stalled.
According to Tuttosport, the main disagreement between the player and Napoli is over salary. Anguissa currently earns about €3.6m net per season, while his representatives are understood to be seeking a deal worth close to €6m per year.

The substantial difference in the two positions has slowed discussions and opened the possibility that Anguissa could leave Napoli when his contract expires.
That situation has attracted attention in Milan, with Inter considering the possibility of signing the experienced midfielder as a free agent in 2027 if he does not reach an agreement with Napoli.
Inter’s interest in the Cameroon international is not a recent development. The Milan club previously followed Anguissa during his time at Olympique de Marseille and renewed their interest in 2025, when his Napoli contract was also approaching its expiry.
The midfielder joined Napoli in 2021, initially arriving on loan from Fulham, and has since become an important figure in the club’s midfield.
According to Tuttosport, Anguissa has made 179 appearances for Napoli and scored 15 goals. During his time at the club, he has also been part of the teams that won Serie A titles in 2023 and 2025.
His experience and success in Italy have made him an attractive option for clubs looking for an established midfielder, particularly if he becomes available without a transfer fee.
Inter are not alone in keeping an eye on the situation. AC Milan and Juventus are also monitoring the 30-year-old’s contract position at Napoli.
The uncertainty comes after Anguissa was limited to 18 Serie A appearances last season because of recurring injury problems. His fitness record is another factor surrounding his future as clubs assess whether to make a move.
For Napoli, the immediate priority will be to determine whether negotiations with the midfielder can be revived and whether an agreement can be reached before he enters the final stage of his contract.
