The Egyptian Football Association is not planning any immediate decisions over the growing dispute involving the national team and its coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan.
Former Al Ahly and Egypt goalkeeper Ahmed Shobier said the association was waiting for official reports and calmer conditions before addressing the outstanding issues.
Shobier also rejected reports that Ibrahim Hassan had been referred for investigation.
“There has been talk that Ibrahim Hassan has been referred for investigation, but this has no basis in fact,” Shobier said on X.
He said Egyptian Football Association president Hany Abu Rida was awaiting a report from Khaled El-Dirandaly, as well as a report from the Egypt coaching staff, before discussing the dispute and deciding whether any action was necessary.
According to Shobier, Abu Rida believes allowing more time could help ease tensions and bring down the level of disagreement. The association president wants the issues to be considered in a calm atmosphere, with the aim of restoring discipline and a more rational approach within the national team.
The relationship between the Egyptian Football Association and the coaching staff is understood to be a priority for Abu Rida. Shobier added that improving cooperation between the coaching and administrative teams and the players was also important.
That includes players such as Mohamed Salah, Hamza Abdelkarim and Mohamed Abdelmonem.
Shobier said the broader objective was to establish relationships based on respect and cooperation between all sides, without belittling the players, the coaching staff or the football association.
The approach is intended to help preserve stability within Egypt’s national team during the next phase.
