Bondoma, who turned 17 in September, has been with Saint-Étienne for the past year as he works towards establishing himself within the French club’s system.
Ateba Adzaba Joseph, head of youth training at Oyili FC, confirmed the length of Bondoma’s time with the Greens and revealed that the teenager had recently returned to action after a lengthy injury.
“He has been on a professional traineeship with Saint-Étienne for a year and recently made his debut after more than eight months of injury.”
Despite spending more than eight months on the sidelines, Bondoma was able to make a positive impression when given the opportunity.
Reports from media outlets close to Saint-Étienne described the Cameroonian international’s performance as satisfactory despite the limited preparation he had following his injury.
His appearance represents an important moment in a young career that is still in its early stages.
Bondoma’s progress has also been accompanied by another success for Oyili FC.
Cameroonian youngster André Zibi, who was also developed at the training centre, has recently joined Saint-Étienne’s reserve team.
