Olympiakos have opened talks with Hicham Boudaoui’s representatives as the midfielder’s future at OGC Nice comes under scrutiny ahead of the winter transfer window.
According to Greek outlet Red & White, Olympiakos’ new sporting director Antonio Cordon has already made contact with the camp of the 27-year-old Algeria international.
Boudaoui’s profile is understood to appeal to the Greek club, particularly because of his experience at international level. The midfielder joined Nice from Paradou and remains under contract with the French club until 30 June 2027.
Nice are seeking about 5 million euros to approve a transfer. The fee is expected to form the starting point for negotiations between the two clubs, as the Aiglons look to avoid losing the player without financial compensation when his contract eventually expires.
Boudaoui is currently valued at 12 million euros and earns an annual salary of 290,000 euros (188,500,000 FCFA).
His opportunities this season have been limited, however. The former Paradou player has made only four minutes of competitive action in Ligue 1.
Olympiakos are not the only clubs to have shown an interest in the midfielder. Boudaoui was also approached by Saudi Arabian clubs recently, although no agreement was reached, as Africafoot previously reported exclusively.
The Algerian could soon have another opportunity to feature for Nice, with the club due to face RC Strasbourg in the sixth round of the French championship.
