Malian striker Lassine Sinayoko has made an impressive start to life at Paris FC, scoring four goals and providing one assist in his first five matches since joining the French club.
The 26-year-old moved from AJ Auxerre during the summer transfer window in a deal worth around €8m and has quickly established himself among Ligue 1’s leading scorers.
His early form has also earned him a nomination for the September Player of the Month award, alongside Paris Saint-Germain’s Spain international Ferran Torres and Monaco’s German forward Paris Brunner.
All three players scored four goals in five matches during the month.
Sinayoko’s performances have attracted praise from former Mali international striker Tenema N’Diaye “Takissè”, who believes his compatriot has taken his game to another level and can continue to improve as the season progresses.
“Sinayoko plays his matches normally, like a top striker. It’s true he hasn’t scored yet for the national team in the first matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, but he has already provided an assist. He’s a world-class striker who continues to improve and contributes a great deal to PFC and the Malian national team.”
Sinayoko joined Paris FC towards the end of the summer transfer window after developing through the ranks at AJ Auxerre.
His strong start has immediately placed him among the most productive forwards in the French top flight after the opening five matchdays.
N’Diaye, who previously played for FC Nantes and represented Mali, believes the striker’s current form is evidence of the progress he has made in recent seasons.
“He’s a player who has reached a new level in recent years and continues to confirm his goal-scoring potential. He was among the top scorers in Ligue 1 last season, and I hope he scores even more this year with Paris FC. I have faith in him; he’s in excellent form with 4 goals in 5 games played.”
Sinayoko’s record in Ligue 1 already shows considerable experience despite his age. He has made 104 appearances in the competition, scoring 22 goals and registering 17 assists.
His performances for Auxerre last season were particularly notable. He finished the 2025/26 campaign as the club’s leading scorer after scoring 12 goals and providing four assists in 32 appearances.
That form helped establish his reputation before his move to Paris FC and has continued into the new season.
Although Sinayoko has yet to score for Mali in the opening matches of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, he has already contributed an assist.
His form at club level has therefore provided encouragement as he continues to develop his role with the national team.
N’Diaye believes the striker can maintain his current level and produce even more goals for Paris FC as the season progresses.
For now, Sinayoko’s attention will turn to Paris FC’s next Ligue 1 fixture, with the club preparing to play their sixth league match against FC Lorient.
After four goals and an assist in his first five matches, the Malian forward will hope to continue his strong start and further strengthen his reputation as one of the league’s emerging attacking players.
