England thrash Croatia 7-0 to match Nations League record

England equalled the biggest winning margin in UEFA Nations League history with a dominant 7-0 away victory over Croatia in their Matchday 3 group-stage fixture.

England took complete control of the match and led 4-0 at half-time. They continued to press their advantage after the break, scoring three further goals to complete a comprehensive win.

The result moves England level with the two previous seven-goal victories recorded in the competition.

Germany were the first team to achieve the margin, beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 7-0 at home in League A on 16 November 2024.

Finland then matched that result by defeating San Marino 7-0 away in League C on 6 September 2024.

England’s victory over Croatia is the third occasion on which a team has won a UEFA Nations League match by seven goals.
