Bulls seek another win over Munster in URC second-round clash

The Bulls will look to extend their winning run against Munster when the sides meet in an important United Rugby Championship encounter at Thomond Park on Saturday night.

The Pretoria-based side have won their past three meetings with Munster, including a 45-14 victory in last season’s quarter-final in Pretoria. They also arrive in confident mood after scoring 47 points against Zebre Parma in Italy last week.

Munster, however, will be determined to respond after suffering a six-point home defeat by Glasgow Warriors in the opening round. The Bulls are aware they face a side with a strong incentive to put that result behind them.

The visitors will also be aiming to protect their position at the top of the table. Their recent record in high-profile away matches will provide further confidence, with the Bulls having reached the past three Grand Finals in the cross-hemisphere competition.

Kick-off is at 20:45 South African time, with Federico Vedovelli appointed referee. The match will be broadcast on SuperSport.
