Former Real Madrid coach Davide Ancelotti believes Rodri would have been an ideal addition to the Spanish club.
Ancelotti, who was part of his father Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff at Real Madrid, was asked whether the Manchester City midfielder would have suited the team.
Real Madrid had reportedly been keen to sign Rodri during the summer transfer window, but the Spain international chose Barcelona instead.
“Real Madrid lost the best player in the world in his position,” Davide Ancelotti said.
Real Madrid are currently fourth in La Liga after seven matches, with 15 points.
