Liverpool may part company with attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz in next summer’s transfer window if the Germany international fails to make a significant improvement at Anfield.
The Premier League club paid 125m euros to sign Wirtz in summer 2025, but more than a year on, the 23-year-old has yet to consistently produce his best form for Liverpool.
Wirtz has made 55 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists. Those numbers have not matched the level expected after Liverpool committed such a substantial fee for the player.
A failure to improve significantly could therefore lead Liverpool to consider ending his time at the club when the summer transfer window opens.
Wirtz is currently valued at 100m euros by transfer-market website Transfermarkt.
