Burkina Faso are seeking a way to play their international friendly against Argentina on 4 October in Buenos Aires, despite ongoing difficulties preventing their delegation from reaching the Argentine capital.
The match has not been officially cancelled at this stage, and the Etalons remain committed to taking part.
One option under consideration is to bring in some members of the Burkina Faso U23 squad, who are currently gathered in Ouagadougou. They could join the senior players available and help the team field a side against Argentina.
However, the proposed involvement of the U23 players has not yet been formally confirmed.
The Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF) is understood to be working to preserve the fixture, which is also linked to contractual commitments, including financial arrangements surrounding the match.
No official decision has been announced on whether U23 players will be added to the squad. The FBF is expected to clarify its plans in the coming hours.
