Patrick Zabi: Paris FC’s rising Ivory Coast star making an early impact

Patrick Zabi is emerging as one of the promising young midfielders in Ligue 1 after making a strong start to life at Paris FC.

The 20-year-old Ivory Coast international joined Stade de Reims from Ivoire FC in 2025, where he quickly progressed through the club before moving to Paris FC this summer. His technical ability and potential have already attracted considerable attention.

Zabi’s performances have also impressed his team-mates. Speaking on RMC’s Generation After programme, Pierre Lees-Melou was particularly complimentary about the young Paris FC midfielder.

The early months of Zabi’s time at Paris FC have reflected the expectations surrounding him. He has played in four Ligue 1 matches this season and has provided one assist.

His progress has also continued at international level. Zabi made his first appearance for Cote d’Ivoire in the match against Somalia, marking another significant step in his development.

His rapid rise has increased interest in his qualities as a midfielder. Zabi is noted for his technical skill, his ability to break through defensive lines and the scope he still has to improve.

That development is also reflected in his market valuation. Transfermarkt currently estimates Zabi’s value at 20 million euros, although that figure is expected to change according to his performances.

Paris FC will next face FC Lorient in the sixth round of the French championship. The published odds for the match list Paris FC at 2.48 to win, a draw at 3.51 and an FC Lorient victory at 3.04.
