Christian Pulisic says he is “very happy at Milan” and wants to remain at the club, despite reports of potential interest from the Premier League and MLS.
The United States Men’s National Team forward has been working his way back to form after a series of injury problems in recent months, and scored his first competitive goal of 2026 in Milan’s 3-0 Serie A win over Lecce.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia and other reporters at a fan event today, Pulisic said his return to action had taken longer than expected.
“It has been a strange start to the season,” he said.
“I was coming back from an injury and I really wanted to play, but it took time, I worked with the team and coach to get back on the field.”
His goal against Lecce was notable for the way he controlled the ball with his first touch before finishing with his other foot.
“I do think it’s one of the best goals of my career. I didn’t realise quite how difficult it was until after I saw it back,” Pulisic added.
Milan are continuing to adapt to manager Ruben Amorim’s approach. Amorim has also made adjustments to suit the players available to him after learning from his time at Manchester United.
Pulisic said the team had responded positively to the manager’s methods, with Milan’s latest match providing encouragement.
“We are learning his system, how he wants to play, I am very positive on him. Our most recent match was one of the best, so we want to build on that,” he said.
“He wants us to find certain positions, especially when we have the ball, and to make specific movements. Obviously, we are also given some freedom in attack, but there are principles and positions to keep to.”
Pulisic’s contract is technically due to expire at the end of this season, although Milan have an option to extend it by another year. That means the club are under no immediate pressure to negotiate a new agreement.
“I am very happy at Milan. The club is giving me everything, it helps me a great deal. I am concentrated on playing, but we’ll talk about it, I hope soon,” said Pulisic.
“I feel really happy at Milan and want to continue here.”
Pulisic also praised two of his team-mates in the Rossoneri squad, Goncalo Ramos and Luka Modric.
“Playing with Ramos is fantastic, because he works so hard and helps the team defensively, he never stops running. I am not worried for him, the goals will come,” he said.
“Modric sets the example for everyone with the way he controls the game. He is 41 years old, doing what he does, there is so much we can learn from a professional like him.”
