Kylian Mbappe has revealed the four celebrities he would invite to his dream dinner, with football icon Cristiano Ronaldo joined on the list by basketball great Michael Jordan, tennis star Serena Williams and singer Rihanna.
The Real Madrid striker made the revelation during an interview with The Athletic, where he discussed a range of subjects including his personal life, lifestyle and interests.
Asked who he would choose for a dinner with four famous guests, Mbappe immediately selected Jordan, Ronaldo, Williams and Rihanna.
“Michael Jordan is first on the guest list because he is an inspiration. I met him once and I would like to meet him again to talk about his career. The second is Ronaldo because he has always been my role model, and now he is my friend. I like spending time with him. He gives me advice and supports me, and he knows in return that I will support him too. The third guest is Serena Williams because I prefer to be inspired by different athletes. Maybe after that Rihanna, I like her.”
Ronaldo’s inclusion reflects the Portuguese forward’s long-standing influence on Mbappe, who has spoken frequently about his admiration for the former Real Madrid player.
Mbappe’s choices would also bring together four figures from different fields. Jordan represents basketball, Ronaldo football, Williams tennis and Rihanna the music industry.
Jordan is regarded as one of basketball’s leading figures, while Williams has enjoyed an illustrious career in tennis. Ronaldo, meanwhile, has remained a major influence on Mbappe, who has previously described the Portuguese as a childhood role model.
Mbappe set to work with Zidane
Following the interview, Mbappe joined up with the France squad as the national team prepares for a new chapter under coach Zinedine Zidane.
Zidane replaced Didier Deschamps last month and is now set to begin working with Mbappe during the current international period.
The pair will start their time together with France’s UEFA Nations League campaign, with Mbappe expected to play an important role for the national side.
France face four matches
France are scheduled to play four matches during the current international break, beginning with their League A Group A opener against Türkiye.
The match is due to take place at Kocaeli Stadium in Izmit on 25 September, before France face Belgium three days later.
Their schedule continues with a meeting against Italy on 2 October before another fixture against Belgium on 5 October.
Mbappe is also scheduled to receive the Golden Boot award for finishing as the leading scorer at the 2026 World Cup.
The presentation is expected to take place in front of France supporters during the current international break, adding another significant moment to a period that will also see Mbappe begin working under Zidane.
For now, however, the Real Madrid forward’s unusual dinner table has provided a glimpse into the sporting and cultural figures who have inspired him, with Ronaldo remaining a prominent presence among his choices.
