South Africa winger Luther Singh is being linked with a move from AEL Limassol to Maccabi Netanya in Israel’s Ligat ha’Al.
The 29-year-old left winger joined AEL in July 2024 and remains under contract with the Cyprus club until 31 May 2027. He has started AEL’s only Cyprus League match of the 2026-27 season, playing the full 90 minutes and providing one assist.
Singh’s possible move would take him to a second country since leaving Denmark, where he won the Danish championship with FC Copenhagen in the 2021-22 season. He joined Copenhagen from Portuguese side Braga in August 2021 in a transfer valued at €1.41m, before later spending time on loan at Chaves.
The Soweto-born player moved to AEL after becoming a free agent in July 2024, following a brief spell with Serbian club Cukaricki. His current market value is listed at €850,000.
Any transfer to Maccabi Netanya would therefore come with Singh still contracted to AEL, where he has made one league appearance this season and contributed directly to half of the club’s goals in that match.
