Chelsea have confirmed that Marc Guiu has joined Bundesliga club RB Leipzig on a permanent transfer, bringing his time at Stamford Bridge to an end after one season with the Blues.
The Spain Under-21 international moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2024. During his spell with the club, Guiu made 29 appearances and scored eight goals.
His most productive run came in the UEFA Conference League, where he found the net six times in six matches. Guiu was part of the Chelsea squad that won the competition, contributing regularly during the club’s successful campaign.
He was also included in the Chelsea squad for the FIFA Club World Cup last year. His involvement in both competitions formed part of his first-team experience at the club after arriving from Barcelona.
Chelsea announced the transfer in an official statement, confirming that Guiu’s move to RB Leipzig had been completed on a permanent basis. The Bundesliga side will now become the next club in the young forward’s career.
Guiu leaves Chelsea having made 29 appearances for the club and scored eight goals. Six of those goals came in the UEFA Conference League, where he scored in six games as Chelsea went on to lift the trophy.
The club thanked the Spain Under-21 international for his contribution during his time in west London and wished him well for the next stage of his career with RB Leipzig.
Guiu’s departure follows his first season after moving to Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2024. He leaves having represented the club in domestic and European football, as well as at the FIFA Club World Cup last year.

At RB Leipzig, Guiu will continue his career in the Bundesliga after completing a permanent transfer away from Chelsea. The move formally ends his time with the Blues, where he made 29 appearances and scored eight goals.
His six goals in six UEFA Conference League matches remain a notable part of his Chelsea record, while his involvement in the squad that won the competition and in last year’s FIFA Club World Cup marked the main achievements of his spell at the club.
Chelsea have now confirmed that the Spain Under-21 international will begin the next chapter of his career with RB Leipzig.
