Manchester City have completed the signing of Palmeiras winger Allan Elias in a deal that could eventually be worth £34.2m.
The 22-year-old becomes the seventh arrival at City during the current transfer window, following Elliot Anderson, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jeremy Monga, Geronimo Rulli, Pierce Charles and Mathys Detourbet.
Rulli and Charles are among the players expected to leave on loan, with the latter duo heading straight out on temporary moves.
Allan made his senior debut for Palmeiras in January 2025 and went on to play 96 matches for the Brazilian club in all competitions. He scored nine goals and provided 12 assists during that period.
His move to Manchester City comes after the departure of fellow Brazilian Savinho, who joined Tottenham last week in a deal worth up to £85m. Allan is expected to provide a direct replacement for the winger.
The transfer continues the recent link between Palmeiras and City. Allan follows Gabriel Jesus and Vitor Reis in moving from the Brazilian club to the Premier League side.
Speaking to Manchester City’s official website, Allan said: “This is a surreal moment for me.

“I love Palmeiras and always will – but the decision to come to City was an easy one. I want to be the best footballer I can be and the conversations I’ve had with the people at City so far have convinced me there isn’t a better place for me to fulfil my ambitions.
“My intention is to help City continue winning trophies. If I can do that, it would be a dream come true.”
Allan could make his City debut on 5 September, when Manchester City host Coventry City.
City have already made a strong start to the Premier League season, with Enzo Maresca’s side taking six points from their opening two matches.
Manchester City are also continuing discussions over a possible deal for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo. The talks come after Liverpool completed the £123m signing of France international Bradley Barcola.
Allan’s arrival adds another attacking option to City’s squad as the club continue to reshape their team during the transfer window. His experience of first-team football at Palmeiras, despite making his senior debut only in early 2025, was a key part of his rapid rise before the move to England.
