Angolan-Congolese Pululu faces big decision as European clubs step up pursuit

Afimico Pululu is attracting growing interest across Europe after an impressive season in Poland, leaving his current club Jagiellonia Białystok facing a battle to retain one of their key attacking players.

The 27-year-old forward has been in standout form in the Ekstraklasa, registering 11 goals and three assists in 27 matches.

His performances have not only elevated his profile domestically but also drawn attention from clubs in other European leagues ahead of the summer transfer window.

Jagiellonia Białystok have responded by offering Pululu a contract extension until 2029, including improved financial terms, in an effort to secure his long-term future.

The move reflects the club’s desire to keep hold of a player who has become central to their attacking identity.

However, despite the offer, uncertainty remains over whether Pululu will stay.

With interest intensifying from abroad, a transfer appears increasingly possible.

Among the clubs monitoring his situation are Beşiktaş, who are reportedly keen to strengthen their attacking options and have identified Pululu as a potential target.

The Turkish side is said to be actively assessing his profile as they prepare for the next transfer window.

Elsewhere, CSKA Sofia and Sparta Prague are also following developments closely, underlining the growing demand for the Congolese international.

Closer to home, there have also been links with a possible move within Poland, with Widzew Łódź reportedly interested in signing him from their Ekstraklasa rivals.

Such a move would represent a rare intra-league transfer for a player of his profile, although competition from clubs outside Poland could complicate that possibility.

Pululu now faces a crucial decision over the next stage of his career.

Staying at Jagiellonia would offer continuity and the chance to build on his current success, particularly with the club willing to improve his contract.

A move abroad, however, could present a new challenge and greater exposure at a higher level.

His rise is another example of players from the continent making a strong impact in European leagues outside the traditional spotlight.

Pululu’s consistency in front of goal has been key to his growing reputation, and his next move could further shape his standing at international level.

With the transfer window approaching, attention will focus on whether Jagiellonia can convince him to commit to their long-term project or whether interest from clubs in Turkey and Central Europe will prove decisive.
