Brentford have reached an agreement with West Ham for the transfer of Senegal international left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf.
The deal is understood to be worth an initial £35 million, with a further £5m available in add-ons, potentially taking the total package to £40m.
Diouf has attracted interest from several clubs, including Nottingham Forest, but the 25-year-old is reportedly keen on joining Brentford.
The final details of the transfer are now being completed, with the Senegal international expected to undergo a medical before the move can be officially confirmed.
Diouf joined West Ham as part of their efforts to strengthen at left-back and became an important member of the squad. However, his spell at the London Stadium has coincided with a difficult period for the club, culminating in their relegation from the Premier League last season.
The Hammers will compete in the Championship during the 2026/27 campaign, meaning a move to Brentford would allow Diouf to remain in the Premier League.
The defender also has major international experience, having been part of the Senegal team that won the Africa Cup of Nations.
For Brentford, the signing would provide additional athleticism, versatility and experience ahead of the new Premier League season.
Although the agreement between the clubs has been reached, the transfer remains subject to the medical and final contractual formalities before Diouf can officially become a Brentford player.
