Inter have confirmed the signing of Curtis Jones from Liverpool, with the 25-year-old midfielder agreeing a five-season contract that will run until the middle of 2031.
Jones, who came through Liverpool’s academy, has completed his move to the Serie A club after Inter published the announcement on their official website. He will now begin a new chapter with the Nerazzurri after establishing himself in Liverpool’s first team.
The transfer fee has not been officially stated by Inter, but press reports put the value of the deal at €30m.
Jones made 228 official appearances for Liverpool’s first team. During that time, he scored 22 goals and provided 25 assists for team-mates.
His departure brings an end to his time with the club he joined as a youth player and for whom he progressed through the academy before reaching the senior side. Inter’s announcement confirms that he will remain under contract in Italy for the next five seasons, with the agreement extending to mid-2031.
The move gives Inter a new midfield option ahead of the opening round of the Italian championship. Their first scheduled fixture is at home to Monza on Saturday, 22 August.
Inter will host Monza in the first round of Serie A, with Jones joining the squad as the club begins its league campaign. The match will be his new side’s next stated fixture following the announcement of his transfer.
For Liverpool, the figures attached to Jones’ first-team career show the extent of his involvement over the years. He leaves having played more than 200 official matches for the club, while contributing 22 goals and 25 assists.
The reported €30m fee represents the financial terms cited by the press for the move, while Inter have confirmed the key contractual detail: Jones has signed a five-year agreement lasting until the middle of 2031.
