Senegal midfielder Babacar Diack has joined Austrian club SV Kapfenberg from AS Camberene on loan, completing a move to the 2. Liga side on 21 August 2026.
The 20-year-old central midfielder has moved to Austria after returning to AS Camberene at the end of last season. His loan spell at Kapfenberg runs until 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to the Senegalese club.
Diack began the 2026-27 campaign with AS Camberene before switching to Kapfenberg. The transfer takes him from Senegal’s Ligue 2 to Austria’s second tier, giving him a new setting for the season ahead.
He was born in Saint-Louis on 1 July 2006 and holds Senegalese nationality. Diack’s listed position is central midfield, with his move adding another midfield option to Kapfenberg’s squad for their 2. Liga campaign.
The transfer follows two spells involving AS Camberene and Czech club Chrudim during the previous season. Diack initially left AS Camberene for Chrudim on loan on 13 February 2026, before returning to his parent club when that arrangement ended on 30 June.
His move to Kapfenberg is therefore his second loan transfer since February, with the latest switch taking him outside Senegal for the 2026-27 season. The Austrian club is his new destination until the end of June, while AS Camberene remains his parent side.
Kapfenberg’s 2026-27 2. Liga campaign was under way when the transfer was completed, although Diack had not made an appearance in the competition before joining the club. He now has a loan agreement covering the remainder of the season.
No transfer fee has been included for the move, which is recorded as a loan rather than a permanent transfer. Diack has joined SV Kapfenberg from AS Camberene until 30 June 2027.
