Leeds are considering a move for Chelsea midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk, with the Premier League club reported to be weighing up a possible loan deal for the 25-year-old Ukraine international.
According to well-known football insider Ben Jacobs, Mudryk is one of several players being assessed by Leeds as they consider their transfer options. However, discussions between the clubs have not yet reached an advanced stage, and there is currently no indication that a formal agreement is close.
Mudryk has been a Chelsea player since January 2023, when the London club signed him from Shakhtar Donetsk. Since joining Chelsea, he has made 73 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists for his team-mates.
Leeds’ interest places Mudryk among a group of players being considered rather than identifying him as the club’s sole or preferred target. The possibility under discussion is a temporary move, although the negotiations remain at an early point.
The Ukrainian midfielder’s Chelsea record includes 73 appearances across his time at Stamford Bridge, during which he has contributed 21 goals or assists. His tally stands at 10 goals and 11 assists, according to the figures reported.
Mudryk moved to Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 and remains under contract with the London club. Leeds’ interest, as reported by Jacobs, is focused on the possibility of taking him on loan rather than completing a permanent transfer.
No serious-stage talks have taken place between the two sides at this point. The situation could therefore depend on whether Leeds decide to progress their interest and whether Chelsea are prepared to consider a temporary departure for the midfielder.
For now, Mudryk is simply included on Leeds’ list of several potential recruits. The reported interest is yet to develop into a substantial negotiation, with the clubs still at the stage of considering whether a loan move would be possible.
Chelsea signed Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, and he has since recorded 73 appearances, 10 goals and 11 assists for the club. Leeds’ reported interest offers a possible route for the 25-year-old to continue his career elsewhere on a temporary basis, but there is no advanced agreement between the clubs.
