Alaa El Badry: Egypt midfielder joins Dayrout SC on free transfer

Egyptian defensive midfielder Alaa El Badry has joined Dayrout SC from Kafr Elzayat on a free transfer, completing the move on 15 August 2026.

The 33-year-old, who was born in Aswan, arrives after spending the first half of 2026 with Kafr Elzayat. He moved to that club from Baladiya on 1 January, also on a free transfer, before making another switch during the summer window.

El Badry brings experience in Egyptian domestic football to Dayrout SC, having played in both the Premier League and the Egypt Cup. His most recently recorded campaign included 31 Premier League appearances, with 2,147 minutes on the pitch, as well as four Egypt Cup appearances and 289 minutes in the competition.

The midfielder began his recorded senior career with Aswan SC before moving to El Dakhlia in August 2017. He joined Tanta SC from El Dakhlia in January 2018 and later switched to Qanah in August 2019. His subsequent moves took him to Baladiya, Kafr Elzayat and now Dayrout SC.

El Badry’s move to Kafr Elzayat came after his spell with Baladiya, which began in July 2025. His transfer history shows a sequence of moves between Egyptian clubs, with each of his most recent changes completed without a transfer fee.

At Dayrout SC, El Badry will continue his career as a specialist defensive midfielder. The club is the latest destination in a playing career that has included Aswan SC, El Dakhlia, Tanta SC, Qanah, Baladiya and Kafr Elzayat.

His arrival adds an experienced Egyptian player to the Dayrout SC squad ahead of the 2026-27 season. El Badry’s latest club change was registered on 15 August 2026.
