Olympique de Marseille could be forced to sell one of their leading attackers this summer as the French club looks to ease financial pressure and comply with financial restrictions.
According to La Provence, Marseille are considering the sale of either Algerian international Amine Gouiri or Brazilian winger Igor Paixão to generate significant revenue.
Gouiri, who is under contract with Marseille until 2029, has attracted interest from Italian club Como. Marseille are reportedly demanding at least €25 million for the 26-year-old, despite his focus currently being on preparations for the new season.
Paixão, meanwhile, has seen his value rise following an impressive campaign in which he scored 12 goals and provided seven assists.
The Brazilian winger is reportedly attracting interest from Roma, Leeds United and Aston Villa, with Marseille believed to be willing to consider a transfer for around €40 million.
Selling both players could generate approximately €65 million for Marseille, but the more likely scenario is that the club will part ways with only one of the two attackers.
The decision will form part of Marseille’s wider efforts to restructure their squad while managing the financial demands placed on the club.
