Arsenal could offer Vinicius Junior an annual salary of €24m (£20.7m) after tax and allow him to retain 100% of his image rights if he leaves Real Madrid, according to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte.
The possibility of the Brazil forward moving from Real Madrid to Arsenal has become one of the most discussed potential transfers in football. The Premier League club are understood to be monitoring difficulties in Vinicius’ contract negotiations with the Spanish side and could try to take advantage of the situation.
UOL Esporte reports that Arsenal are prepared to make a major financial commitment to the 25-year-old. Under the reported proposal, Vinicius would receive €24m a year “net”, meaning the figure would be his earnings after tax. He would also keep all of his image rights.
Real Madrid are aware of Arsenal’s strong interest in persuading the forward to move to London. However, no transfer has been agreed and the Brazilian remains under contract with the Spanish club until next summer.
The Madrid side have so far been unable to meet Vinicius’ financial demands, although negotiations between the player and Real Madrid are still continuing. The talks have therefore not been formally ended, leaving open the possibility of an agreement before his current deal expires.
