Al Hilal view Kingdom Arena as cornerstone of their future ambitions

Al Hilal have begun examining the possibility of extending their agreement to use Kingdom Arena, with the current contract due to expire at the end of the 2026-27 season.

Reports suggest the Saudi club’s company has started considering the renewal of one of the most important arrangements away from the pitch. The move would underline Al Hilal’s determination to remain at a stadium that has become a significant part of their identity and a major source of strength in recent seasons.

Since Kingdom Arena opened, the venue has developed into far more than a ground where Al Hilal play their home matches. It has become closely associated with some of the club’s most important victories and achievements, while its atmosphere has helped establish it as a difficult place for visiting teams to secure a positive result.

Al Hilal have built a particularly strong relationship with the stadium, both in sporting terms and through their supporters. The stands have regularly been filled for many of the club’s matches, giving the team a clear home advantage, especially during major domestic and continental fixtures.

The modern design and facilities at Kingdom Arena have also provided Al Hilal’s first team with a professional environment suited to their ambitions. The quality of the playing surface, together with the stadium’s facilities and services, has helped create conditions that have had a direct effect on the team’s performances during matches.

The club’s interest in remaining at Kingdom Arena is not based solely on footballing considerations. The stadium has also become one of Al Hilal’s most important commercial assets, generating value through naming rights, sponsorship agreements, matchday income and the hosting of a range of events.

A new agreement would provide the club with long-term stability and spare its management from having to enter fresh negotiations to find an alternative venue. Moving elsewhere could force Al Hilal to surrender at least part of the home advantage they have established over the past few seasons.

In an increasingly competitive Roshn Saudi League, Al Hilal recognise that protecting the foundations of their success is as important as recruiting high-profile players. Keeping Kingdom Arena is therefore viewed as a logical part of the club’s wider project as they seek to maintain their domestic dominance and remain strong contenders in continental and global competitions.

The stadium renewal file is consequently more than a routine administrative matter. For Al Hilal, it represents a strategic attempt to preserve what has become their own footballing kingdom and one of their most valuable weapons on the pitch.
