Hong Kong-Ghana winger Chris Annan has joined Central Western from Hoi King on a free transfer, returning to the Hong Kong First Division club after one season away.
The 48-year-old left winger completed the move on 31 July 2026, switching between two clubs in the same division. Annan previously represented Central Western from October 2022 until September 2025, when he left for Hoi King.
Annan’s return adds extensive experience to Central Western’s squad. Born in Accra, he has spent much of his career in Hong Kong football and has also represented Hong Kong at national-club level. He is a right-footed winger and stands 1.75m tall.
During his career in the Hong Kong Premier League, Annan has made 204 appearances, scoring 57 goals and providing 18 assists. In the Hong Kong First Division, he has recorded 127 appearances and 66 goals, alongside 30 assists.
His previous spell with Central Western brought immediate success. Annan helped the club win the Hong Kong Lower Division Cup in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, as well as the Hong Kong Second League title in 2022-23.
Before joining Hoi King, he had moved to Central Western from Tai Po in October 2022, also on a free transfer. His career has included spells with Eastern, Tai Po, Kitchee, Pegasus, Hoi King, Rangers and Yuen Long.
Annan enjoyed his most decorated period with Kitchee, winning three Hong Kong league titles, three Hong Kong cups, two Hong Kong League Cups and the Sapling Cup. His league championships with Kitchee came in the 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2017-18 seasons.
He also won the Hong Kong Cup with Tai Po in 2008-09 and the Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield in 2012-13. His career statistics include 12 goals in 26 Hong Kong FA Cup appearances and seven goals in 20 Hong Kong FA Cup Junior Division matches.
The move marks Annan’s latest free transfer after he spent the 2025-26 campaign with Hoi King. Central Western have now secured the experienced winger’s return for the 2026-27 season.
