Moroccan goalkeeper Badreddine Abyir has joined Ittihad Tanger on a free transfer from Botola Pro rivals Hassania. The 27-year-old, born in Casablanca, moves within Morocco’s top flight after his contract with the Agadir club came to an end.
Abyir, who stands at 1.94m and plays as a left-footed goalkeeper, arrives at Ittihad Tanger with a current market value of €400,000. He becomes the latest addition to Tanger’s squad as they reshape their options in goal ahead of the new campaign in the Botola Pro Inwi.
The move continues a steady rise through Moroccan domestic football for Abyir. He first came to wider attention after leaving CR Bernoussi for Olympique Dcheira in 2021, also on a free transfer, before stepping up to Hassania the following year. His switch to Ittihad Tanger marks his third consecutive free move inside five seasons.
Abyir originally joined Hassania from Olympique Dcheira in August 2022 and remained on their books for four years, earning his place in the professional ranks of the top division. His development across spells at Bernoussi, Dcheira and Hassania has established him as a recognised figure in the Moroccan game.
The goalkeeper officially completed his move to Ittihad Tanger on 16 July 2026 and is now registered with the club for the forthcoming Botola Pro Inwi season.
