Amir Abdou is set to name his squad for Burkina Faso’s upcoming international friendlies against the Russia national football team and Belarus national football team as preparations intensify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Burkina Faso national football team will use the June international window to continue building momentum ahead of the qualification campaign for the 2027 AFCON, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
The Burkina Faso Football Federation has confirmed that Abdou will officially announce the squad on Tuesday, May 19, at 10:00 GMT.
The squad reveal is expected to draw strong attention from supporters eager to see which players will be selected for the high-profile European tests as the Etalons continue shaping their core group for future tournaments.
Although the official dates and venues for the matches have not yet been disclosed, the two friendlies are expected to provide valuable competitive preparation against European opposition.
