Yan Diomande once again showcased his outstanding dribbling ability during a Real Madrid training session, producing two individual moves that surprised his team-mates.
The 19-year-old Ivorian forward’s first piece of skill came in a congested area of the pitch. After receiving the ball, Diomande immediately accelerated into a group of players and managed to weave his way through three or four Real Madrid team-mates with remarkable ease.
His second move was even more eye-catching. Starting on the right wing, Diomande used his pace to get away from Marc Cucurella before executing a sudden change of direction that left the Spanish defender on the ground.
The winger then cut inside and curled an excellent shot into the opposite corner of the net, completing a superb solo goal.
The sequence underlined the combination of close control, acceleration and finishing that has made Diomande such an exciting prospect at Real Madrid.
Those qualities also help explain why the club invested 140 million euros in the potential of the young player.
