Zambia’s Fashion Sakala inspires Al-Fayha to end seven-game winless run

Zambia forward Fashion Sakala scored once and provided two assists as Al-Fayha ended a seven-match winless run in the Saudi Pro League with a convincing 4-1 victory over Al-Faisaly.

The 29-year-old was directly involved in three of his side’s four goals, producing an influential display that earned him the Man of the Match award.

Sakala’s contribution proved crucial as Al-Fayha returned to winning ways after a difficult spell in the league, with the Zambian international leading the attacking charge.

The former Rangers striker first got on the scoresheet before turning provider for two more goals, playing a central role in a result that offered Al-Fayha a much-needed boost.

His understanding with team-mate Jason was particularly effective, with the pair combining to cause problems for the opposition defence.

The victory also continued a productive period for Sakala, who has become an increasingly important figure in Al-Fayha’s attack.

He has now recorded five direct goal contributions in 10 Saudi Pro League appearances this season.

His recent form has been especially encouraging. Sakala has been involved in four goals across his last two league appearances, highlighting his growing influence and ability to deliver decisive moments for his team.

The 4-1 result was a welcome response from Al-Fayha, who had gone seven matches without a victory before facing Al-Faisaly.

For Sakala, the performance was another demonstration of the value he brings to the Saudi club, combining goalscoring ability with creativity and the capacity to influence matches in different ways.

The Zambian forward also took to social media after the game to celebrate the result and acknowledge the support of the club’s fans.
