Safonov’s PSG development catches Golovin’s eye

Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin says the progress made by Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov since joining Paris St-Germain has been noticeable.

Safonov moved to the Parisian club from Krasnodar in the summer of 2024. He has made 52 appearances for Paris St-Germain in all competitions, conceding 51 goals.

During his two seasons at the club, Safonov has won Ligue 1 twice and lifted the Champions League trophy on two occasions.
