Manchester United are considering a move for Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy as they assess their attacking options ahead of the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old Borussia Dortmund forward has reportedly emerged as a target for the Premier League club, with reports suggesting United could consider an offer of about €30m.
However, Dortmund could reject such an approach because Guirassy remains under contract with the German club until June 2028.
Guirassy’s form has helped attract attention, with the Guinea international scoring four goals and providing two assists in six appearances since the beginning of the current season.
His performances have continued a productive spell in Germany since his move to Dortmund in 2024.
Guirassy has scored 64 goals in 102 matches for Dortmund, maintaining the scoring record that has made him a target for several European clubs.
The striker is therefore being considered by Manchester United as the club looks for additional experience and options in attack.
Reports from Transferfeed have linked United with Guirassy, while TEAMtalk has also reported that the club is monitoring the forward.
A move in January is possible, although there has been no decision on a contract and no indication in the report that an agreement has been reached.
For Guirassy, another move to a major European club would represent the latest stage of a career that began in France before taking him across several leagues.
Born in France, Guirassy represents Guinea internationally, giving the reported Manchester United interest a strong African connection.
The forward began his professional career at Laval and subsequently played for Lille, 1. FC Köln, Amiens and Stade Rennais before continuing his career in Germany.
His time in France included a spell at Rennes, while his development has ultimately led to regular involvement at the highest level of European football.
Manchester United had previously considered Guirassy in 2023, according to the report.
At that time, however, the English club opted to sign Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta, while Guirassy chose to make his move to VfB Stuttgart permanent.
The Guinean striker later moved to Dortmund in 2024, where his goalscoring form has continued to attract attention from clubs across Europe.
Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are also reported to have shown interest in the forward.
Manchester United are consequently not the only club monitoring his situation as the January window approaches.
