Fabrizio Romano says Royal Antwerp have reached an agreement to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Arthur Vermeeren on loan, with the move completed without an option to buy.
The deal will see Vermeeren return to Royal Antwerp on a straightforward temporary transfer. No provision has been included that would allow the Belgian club to make the move permanent at the end of the loan.
Transfer journalist Romano confirmed that the agreement has been finalised. His report states that the midfielder will join Royal Antwerp from RB Leipzig, where he is currently registered.
Vermeeren previously played for Atletico Madrid before becoming a Leipzig player. The loan agreement now takes him back to Royal Antwerp, although the reported terms do not include a permanent transfer option.
The absence of a buy clause means Royal Antwerp will not have a pre-agreed opportunity to purchase Vermeeren when the loan ends. Any future decision over his longer-term status would therefore remain separate from the current agreement.
Romano’s confirmation identifies the move as complete and describes it as a direct loan. No additional transfer terms were included in the report.
Vermeeren’s previous club was Atletico Madrid, while RB Leipzig are the club sending him out on loan. Royal Antwerp will be his destination under the agreement reported by Romano.
