Sweden and DR Congo defender William Rashidi has joined Italian club Nardo from Lecce U20 on loan until 30 June 2027.
The 20-year-old right-back switches from Lecce’s Primavera 1 side to Nardo, who compete in Serie D – H. Rashidi’s move was completed on 1 September, with the loan agreement scheduled to end on 30 June next year, when he is due to return to Lecce.
Rashidi is a right-footed defender whose preferred position is right-back. He had not made an appearance for Lecce U20 in the 2026-27 Primavera 1 campaign before moving to Nardo.
He joined Lecce U20 from Borussia Dortmund U19 on a free transfer in July 2025. The full-back had previously progressed through Dortmund’s youth system, moving from the club’s under-17 side to the under-19s in July 2023.
Rashidi began his youth career with AIK U17 before moving to Borussia Dortmund in July 2022. His club career has therefore included spells in Sweden, Germany and Italy before the switch to Nardo.
The defender’s market value is listed at €200,000, which is also the highest value recorded in his profile. His agreement with Nardo runs through the end of the 2026-27 season, while the loan arrangement provides for his return to Lecce at its conclusion.
Rashidi’s move gives him a change of club after one season with Lecce’s under-20 team, where he was registered for Primavera 1 football. Nardo have secured his services for the campaign through a temporary transfer rather than a permanent deal.
The transfer continues a career path that has so far been built around youth football. Rashidi represented AIK and Borussia Dortmund at under-17 level before stepping up to Dortmund U19 and then joining Lecce U20.
Born on 4 June 2006, Rashidi is eligible to represent both Sweden and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He now begins the 2026-27 season with Nardo, with the loan formally running until 30 June 2027.
