England-Nigeria defender Daniel Oyegoke has joined Lincoln City from Hellas Verona, adding a 23-year-old right-back to the Championship club’s squad.
Oyegoke has signed a contract with Lincoln running until 30 June 2030. The move was completed on 1 September 2026 after he left Verona, who he represented in Italy’s Serie B and Coppa Italia.
The right-footed defender made one Serie B appearance during the 2026-27 campaign, playing 61 minutes, and also featured for the full 90 minutes in one Coppa Italia match. He joins Lincoln after a spell in Italy that began in January 2025, when Verona signed him from Hearts of Midlothian for €400,000.
Before moving to Verona, Oyegoke had spent the first half of the 2024-25 season with Hearts, having joined the Scottish club from Brentford B on a free transfer in July 2024. His time with Brentford’s development side followed loan spells in England with Bradford and MK Dons.
Oyegoke came through Arsenal’s academy after starting his youth career at Barnet. He moved from Arsenal Under-23s to Brentford B in July 2021 and later gained senior experience during his temporary spells away from the club.
At international level, Oyegoke was part of England’s Under-19 side that won the European Under-19 Championship in 2022. He also won the Premier League Cup with Brentford Under-21s during the 2022-23 season.
The 1.88m defender arrives at Lincoln with experience across English and Italian football, and has committed his future to the club through the end of the 2029-30 season.
