Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Jean Matteo Bahoya on loan from Eintracht with a mandatory buy clause included in the agreement, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The package for the permanent transfer is set at €30m, with the clause requiring Leeds United to complete the purchase once the conditions of the loan agreement are met.
Romano described the move as complete, writing: “Jean Matteo Bahoya to Leeds United, here we go!” Authorisation for the player’s medical has also been granted, meaning the next formal stage of the transfer can proceed.
The agreement has received the approval of Bahoya, who has given the green light to the move. The player’s involvement in the deal was also reported by @Santi_J_FM.
Romano added that the arrangement between Eintracht and Leeds United is a loan containing a mandatory purchase clause, rather than an optional fee. The overall value of that clause is set at €30m.
The deal is therefore in place from the clubs’ perspective, with the medical authorisation and the player’s approval both confirmed as part of the process. Leeds United are now set to complete the remaining steps required to formalise the transfer.
Bahoya’s move is being presented as “all set” for Leeds United, identified by the club’s #LUFC abbreviation in Romano’s update. The report confirms the key financial structure of the agreement: an initial loan from Eintracht followed by a compulsory purchase worth €30m.
