Dutch-Ghanaian centre-forward Brian Brobbey is being linked with a move from Sunderland to Como, with the Italian club understood to be considering a deal for the 24-year-old.
Brobbey joined Sunderland from Ajax on 1 September 2025 in a transfer reported at €20m and remains under contract until 30 June 2029. His current market value is listed at €40m, although no proposed fee or probability has been given for a move to Serie A.
The striker has started both of Sunderland’s Premier League matches this season, but has yet to score or provide an assist. He moved to England after developing at Ajax, where he won two Dutch league titles and the Dutch Cup.
Brobbey also scored three goals in four appearances for the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup, featuring in 58% of the available minutes. His performances at the tournament came before the start of the current Premier League campaign.
A transfer would represent another move abroad for Brobbey, who previously spent time with RB Leipzig before returning to Ajax. He has made his first-team career primarily as a centre-forward and is currently Sunderland’s number nine.
Sunderland signed Brobbey only a year ago and have him tied to a long-term contract, leaving his position at the club unchanged while the reported Como interest develops.
