Cameroon forward Aaron Bibout has been linked with a move from Genk to Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais, although no transfer has been confirmed.
Bibout, 21, has made four Jupiler Pro League appearances for Genk this season and scored twice, playing 89 minutes without starting a match. The centre-forward joined the Belgian club from Vasteras SK in July 2025 in a deal reported at €2.2m.
The Cameroon-born striker’s current market value is listed at €3.5m, while his contract with Genk runs until 30 June 2029. Those terms mean any move would require an agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer.
Bibout has made a quick impact in limited league minutes, scoring once every 45 minutes so far this campaign. His involvement has accounted for 25% of Genk’s available playing time and 17% of their goal participation.
Before moving to Belgium, Bibout spent time in the United States, including spells with LA Galaxy and Tulsa, after beginning his senior career with Kadji SA. His possible switch to Rennes would represent a move from Belgium’s top flight to France’s Ligue 1.
For now, Bibout remains a Genk player under a long-term contract, with the reported Rennes interest still at rumour stage.
