Samuel Mbangula, a Belgian and DR Congo winger at Werder Bremen, has been linked with a move to Bologna in Serie A. The 22-year-old left winger joined Werder from Juventus in July 2025 in a €10m transfer and is valued at €8m.
Mbangula has made one appearance for Bremen this season, starting their DFB-Pokal match and playing 45 minutes without scoring. He has not featured in the Bundesliga campaign so far.
The reported interest from Bologna comes with Mbangula under contract at Werder until 30 June 2030. The proposed move would take him from the Bundesliga to Serie A, although the rumour is currently assessed at 37%.
Born in Brussels, Mbangula came through the youth systems at Club Brugge and Anderlecht before moving to Juventus in 2020. He progressed through Juventus’ academy and joined the club’s Next Gen side in 2023, before making his move to Germany.
Werder paid €10m for the winger in 2025, when his recorded market value was €14m. His current valuation is €8m, while his immediate involvement at Bremen has been limited to the cup appearance so far this season. He remains a Werder Bremen player with four years left on his existing contract.
