Juventus have made a verbal offer to Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Pape Sarr as they attempt to move ahead of competition from Monaco, Besiktas and other English clubs.
The proposal, reported by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, would see Sarr join Juventus on loan, with the agreement including an optional purchase clause. That clause would become an obligation to buy if specific conditions included in the deal are met.
Romano says Juventus are now advancing negotiations for the Tottenham player after presenting their initial offer. The Italian club are also in discussions with Sarr’s representatives as they work towards finalising the proposed transfer.
The structure of the offer means Juventus would not initially commit to a permanent transfer under all circumstances. Instead, the midfielder would first move on a temporary basis, with the loan arrangement potentially turning into a permanent deal if the agreed conditions are satisfied.
