Malian-Belgian centre-forward Mohamed Guindo has joined Swiss club FC Aarau from La Louviere, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2028.
The 23-year-old moves to Aarau after spending the opening part of the 2026-27 season with La Louviere, who compete in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League. Guindo’s switch to the Swiss Challenge League club was completed on 26 August.
Guindo returns to club football in Switzerland after a loan spell with Clermont Foot during the second half of the 2025-26 campaign. He joined the French club from La Louviere in January before returning at the end of the loan on 30 June.
The forward originally moved to La Louviere from Zulte Waregem in July 2024. He had joined Zulte Waregem from Italian side Pro Vercelli the previous year, having begun his senior career after progressing through the youth systems of Pro Vercelli and Anderlecht.
Guindo’s most notable scoring season came in 2023-24, when he finished as the leading scorer in 2de Nationale VV A with 27 goals. That campaign preceded his move to Zulte Waregem and formed the strongest goalscoring return recorded in his senior career.
Born in Bamako, Guindo stands 1.84m tall and plays primarily as a centre-forward. He is right-footed and brings experience from football in Belgium, Italy and France to his new club.
Aarau have secured Guindo’s services as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign, with the player now tied to the Swiss club for the next two seasons. Mohamed Guindo’s move from La Louviere to FC Aarau was completed on 26 August 2026, with his contract lasting until June 2028.
